The LAPL Project

As part of its ongoing effort to help support extended learning opportunities for its member-districts and assist the library in reaching a traditionally underserved population, The Los Angeles Regional Adult Education Consortium (LARAEC) is partnering with LAUSD’s Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE) to carry out the Los Angeles Public Library Project—More Than Just Books. The goal of the project is to put a library card into the hands of all DACE students while at the same time building the value of the card through increased knowledge of the resources and services available through the library. The LAPL Project video was created with the intention of capturing the scope, challenges, successes and value of the project.
