YO! Today we're looking at my top 5 favorite color changes! Not all of these changes are meant to be performed but I still love practicing various sleights just to myself. I hope you enjoy the different visual changes here and let me know which Color change is YOUR Favorite! Links to changes below...

What's Your favorite color change that you NEVER perform?

Anyone else thought that he was gonna do tutorials for those color changes?

I absolutely love the shapeshifter change by Marc DeSousa. When performed correctly with a natural flow in and out, it's simply awesome! I use it all the time

Those look so smooth which will encourage other magicians to learn them. Awesome that you are encouraging other artists to be supported as well. Great choices and even more to learn!

So, I came to youtube tonight to go back and find the link for the rel color change (found it..haha. also, big fan btw) and I ended up watching like...I dunno, I lost count and let it autoplay, 7 or 8 of your videos and just about forgot I was actually looking for something. Just wanted to let ya know, and I know you've probably touched on it a few times, but I think people really respond so well to your content because of how real you keep everything. I stumbled on your channel earlier this year looking up tutorials (because until recently I didn't have the means to purchase T_T) and largely ended up subscribing to your channel because of your personality. I really think that that's what makes you and your channel/image/brand so awesome. You are just a really cool dude to watch, and listen to and learn from. Alright, enough fanboying, imma hop over to vanishingmagic and pick that up.

* Side note, I actually really appreciate all the historical refrences/credits you give for the tricks you either perform/teach or talk about. As someone who is looking to eventually graduate from a hobbyist doing tricks at bars for beers, It makes it a lot easier to do the research beyond just youtube. So thanks for that as well*

i don't care how simple it is. I honestly love the snap change. its actually so satisfying when you nail it, even more when it is a hidden colour change.

Awesome stuff. Love the fact that you're showing the effects and directing people to learn the sleights from the actual creators.

I really like using the spin change. It's really simple and easy and when done correctly, it gets a great reaction.

I have been working on the slipshift! It is a blast and I love the mechanics! A great challenge for a very beginner sleight of hand magician!

Hey man, I'm not sure which video more importantly, but your enthusiasm for teaching people to have multiple exit strategies for tricks is awesome. I sort of adopted on the fly tricks combining different forces, color changes, and exit strategies and such switching them up depending on the audience.

Great advice my friend!

Ive got a deck of V1 V1's I'm saving for tricks for my grandkids when I reach that age.

I mostly use the sideslip colour change. It can be done surrounded, the hand isn't attached to the deck in some funny way and the set up for it can happen on the offbeat from the previous change allowing you to do it multiple times in a row without spectators catching on.
It also helps you learn to side steal which has been massively useful!

I love the cardini change, the classic change, the shake change and one for which I lack a name done with an Herman pass so that you don't touch the deck but just wave a hand well before it

I don't do magic and can't make a flourish for the life of me, but I've learned the slip shift during Covid lockdown and have become completely addicted to the extremely satisfying mechanics of this move. Thank you Chris!

Erdnase colour change; I saw it a few months ago and it jogged a few memories and got me back into sleight of hand after a break of 35 years. Still practising to get the move really

I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done. You have helped me through difficult times. I think that you underestimate your impact on others. I did not post this comment to get likes. All I wanted to do was to let you know that you are a great person. Thank you.

tbh the C3 is the ONLY colour change I actually perform (mostly as "found wrong card change it to right one")
Its a perfect change if you ask me. No sound, almost no movement (very, VERY subtle fingers movement, done in a shake invisible), you finish with a SG dl and you can strip the double with simple wrist kill (and you have the sandwitch cards to do the strip) AND, on top of all of that, the set up doesent require some weird hand moves. You just spread the "fan"

Not to mention its visible, totally open one. I've done it with no shaking, if you are fast its just like magic
