Kelly Slater Surfs With Some Of Bali’s Top Locals

The surfing talent at Bali’s Padma Beach was through the roof yesterday afternoon, and that was before 11 time world champion Kelly Slater unexpectedly showed up. Local surfers Rizal Tanjung, Rio Waida, Bronson Meydi, and many more were out there putting on a show, and there was a definite buzz on the beach every time Kelly took off on one.

Mr Slater was frothing as hard as all of the kids out there bagging a load of waves during his two surfs, which was great to see. It’s just over 2 weeks until the Pipe Masters contest commences in Hawaii, so no doubt Kelly will be over there soon warming up for yet another season on the WCT.

If there was ever a study to find out who’s had the greatest life ever lived, no doubt that study would have to strongly consider the life of Kelly Slater.... who else has as seen, done, experienced, achieved & accomplished so much, and even now as the vast majority of the world collapses from the threat of a global pandemic, Slater’s life says, “no thanks, I’ll go escape to Bali and surf perfect warm beautiful sunny waves every day for a while until this whole ordeal blows over”. Kelly Slater’s such a great inspiration to us all.

Thing about Kelly is the humility and respect he shows everywhere he goes. You don't have to surf like him to surf localized spots. You just have to act like him.
