That is awesome. I tried to buy an edsel from this place for years when I was in high school and then college. They wouldn't sell it. I've always imagine building some sort of sleeper out of one. Absolutely beautiful cars.

This of course wasn't a factory production vehicle.

I'm certain that someone had a wrecked '57 Ranchero and a spare '58 Edsel Ranger or Pacer front end...

I knew a guy who had a banged up, but really clean '57 Ford retractable... He put the '58 Pacer front sheet metal on it and grafted on '58 Edsel Bermuda station wagon rear quarters and tail lights.

Colonial White and Dark metallic green paint... And it was MAGNIFICENT.

I’ve seen a few of these sheet metal front clip swaps on Rancheros to Edsel I saw one were they also swapped to the Edsel dash which is a little more work, but people really thought it was a real Edsel model as it was done so well.

My brother had a turquoise & white convertible. The original automatic was a cluster of buttons, around the steering-wheel-hub. Truly unique.

I bought an Edsel engine fir my 58 T Bird while in the Navy in 64 .Drove it across the States.

As a kid I used to like going to the Edsel dealer and sitting in the brand new car. What I really liked was the push button shifter in the middle of the steering wheel. One reason it didn’t make it was because the grill looked like it was sucking a lemon. I liked it because it was super modern!😅😮🙄
