Based on my very limited reading of the art of seduction, this is what I learned:

Only focus on those that you could actually seduce and influence, such as the unhappy bored or those that actually has a crush on you, and maintain happiness and contentment with your life so that no one can seduce you.

Interesting on lesson #2. In the 48 Laws of Power i believe one of the lessons was to think different but not act too different as that would isolate you from the "tribe", essentially turning you into a loner.

Another great important tip is to be as subtle as possible to the point where the other person doesn't know you're seducing them. You do this naturally but knowing which type of seducer you are and who your victims are. I highly suggest people reading the book.

We are not iconic people. We are regular people. While this book may offer some great insights, it presents its ideas as if we are like these historic figures. We are not. Half of their battle in seducing was won by their status alone.
