I got this phone for like 150-170 NZ Dollars And honestly I chose this one because it was cheap but good for the price. Definitely worth for the price.

I've had this phone for about a year.

I watch yt, do emails, shop on the internet, use Skype and video calling apps. I can also do internet banking and use all the podcast and media apps i want.

I also use a high end external DAC/amp through the usb c port to listen to high resolution music with some expensive headphones.

It works perfectly well for all those things.

However, yes, I do notice that it's a bit slow occasionally and that can be slightly frustrating. But its really not that bog a deal.

I'm about to upgrade to a 2 year old flagship because i really want an OLED and it would be nice to see what 120hz is like. Plus ill be able to get security updates for longer.

Really though, if i couldn't afford to update my phone, id be happy with the A04. It works and really, a video you watch on a nicer screen is still the same video... Lol. So its just a bit of luxury for me to update.

You only appreciate Samsung budget phones when you get other budget phones.
I gave my son a Realme C35 which on paper is better than Samsung A04. But the C35
- Can't get 4G network in places where you should.
- Some apps just keep on crashing (eg. MS Teams, Edge browser, etc)
- Text messaging apps becomes slow.
So he is now using my Samsung A04 which just works.

I have an iPhone 15 pro but got this A04 for work, first time I've owned an android and I have to admit it's kinda nice, and especially since this is like the cheapest android I can only imagine how good a high end version must be

A very good phone indeed, watching this content on my A04 5G with 4 gb ram and 128 gb storage I can confirm that this phone is quite the buy and worth your money as it is the best in its segment as Samsung just throws in reliable phones, I prefer this than any Chinese phones like OPPO or Xiaomi or Realme etc.
I now have 6.0 One UI on this phone now!

Started out as a decent phone. Samsung has repeatedly broken my privacy and add settings with updates and new user agreements that popup on my phone and again open up to breaking of my settings. I have been meticulous about disabling push notifications from Samsung and apps that are affiliated with android and every update seems to break these. I very recently received a pushed Samsung agreement that would not let me decline or modify that apparently re-enabled advertisements by Samsung and I AGAIN had to disable their adds and app pushes after several weeks of dings and notifications that would not give me the option do load correctly and disable them until just now.

The phone is good enough for me and plus I can turn off the animation scale and it runs faster
