The rear brake I can't get the T15 drive on, do I need to remove the caliper?

I can't find a video for my TRP Hylex brakes but it seems all the TRP brakes are much the same. My question is regarding the bleed fitting. Most videos use some device to close the bleed fitting with the syringe still attached. It seems you just remove the bleed nut, put the syringe on, and similarly (and more importantly) remove the syringe and then put the bleed fitting back in.

My question is relatively simple. If there is no closure mechanism at the bleed fitting on the caliber, doesn't the point when you remove the syringe and replace the bleed nut allow air to enter the caliber? Is there a way to prevent that?
