We have our first look at the gameplay of the brand new Star Wars: Outlaws open world game from Ubisoft! Seems like it could be the most ambitious Star Wars game we have seen yet.

That female character reminded me abit of Doctor Aphra.

Still surprises me that Aphra is one of the most successfull comic characters in star wars and she doesn't even have her own game yet and still doesnt show up in any other form of media at all except SWGOH and Krrsantan in Book of Boba as a nod to aphra.

But definetly a high ambitious game. Looking forward to it!

Maybe it's just me but I love that the main character to me feels like what Lara Croft would be if she was a smuggler in the Star Wars universe. Crazy hyped to eventually see more gameplay down the road.

I love when Ahnald talks about other game franchises and has a hard time remembering parts of those games. Mainly because he's basically a walking encyclopedia for Star Wars, but like anyone focused on something, things they aren't focused on are a bit blurry.

Who here played Star Wars Galaxies, the MMORPG that lasted from 2003-2011? Where you had different species to create your own character and choose a variety of skills? My favourite was Jedi smuggler. You could cloak yourself! And you could visit almost all the major planets and famous landmarks? And interact with famous NPCs? And gained/lost faction with Rebel, Imp, Hutt, Tusken, and more? And had vehicles and animal mounts? And had a complete space gameplay system that at the end of the game’s life they integrated atmospheric flight? Landing the millennium falcon in the middle of Mos Eisley! And had Mandalorian armor! And jet packs! Oh man I miss that game…

I love this game! I wish they’d give us an open world Star Wars bounty hunters game too. It could be just like 1313!

I think they had invincibility turned on for the character because they were just demonstrating the combat system. As far as cons, I don't think I like the ambush on going to space. That was a HUGE PITA in KOTOR that as you're just trying to go from Manaan to Tatooine and back you get ambushed by a squadron of Sith fighters that are really tedious to fight and can crash your game to desktop both at the start and end of the encounter because the game was poorly optimized. One of the most downloaded mods for that game is to remove them entirely.

Open world Star Wars game is huge if they really invested in the planets and make them valuable places to explore. It's really good to see the EA Exclusive is over and new Games are coming with it's expire date. That expire will also push EA to be more player base oriented as well because competition always brings the best for players. But still waiting for Battlefront 3 with at least 20 Jedi and 20 Sith from Old Republic to Prequels.

I wonder how many planets/systems will actually be in the game and how you can really interact with the Open World? Is it more cinematic like No Man's Sky or more like Elder Scrolls that its well scripted, that you can explore everything and pick up enough side quests here and there to really keep you busy for a long time?

This is from Massive Entertainment, the creators of The Division games. As someone who dropped way too many hours into Division 2, its very vast but lacks depth, especially in the endgame content. Hopefully that's not the case with this being a single-player game, but we'll see. I am cautiously optimistic from this first trailer.

Great, boisterous reaction, Man. There's A LOT of potential for this to allude to, echo, and parallel The Original Trilogy, The Prequel Trilogy, Lucas' unrealized multimedia initiative of Star Wars: Underworld and Star Wars: 1313, Shadows Of The Empire, and The Mandoverse. I can already picture some of these characters (esp. the heroine and Commando Droid partner) and the action easily translate in to both Animated and live-action. I actually wouldn't mind, if this entire story were released as a motion picture, in either cinematics-style or live-action. I have a feeling that the hoped-for options you were mentioning, may be features of the Star Wars: Eclipse game...where multiple original characters, planets, histories, and campaigns will be the order of the day.
