I love the design and the willingness to put in the necessary work to get the results you want. This is how you take it to the next level. 👌🏻

I have a different adjustable design but yours is super awesome and more adjustable than mine.

More air = less cone control more of a one note sound.... boom.
Less air = Higher accuracy... hard hitting bass.... excellent transient response.

As a engineer I would look into installing adjustable pistons inside so you can move box in and out remotely programmed with what genre of music you are playing.

This is an excent innovative idea. I use "dummy" blocks to reduce and add interior box volume. It works well but it takes a lot longer to add / remove volume in small increments. It requires removal of the woofer and re installing it etc. His way does it on the fly in 2 seconds. Excellent idea ! I started keeping several completed boxes different sized for testing, but that eats up work space in a hurry.

Nice test box. Hope you make a video showing the results. It would be awesome to see some sweeps and results at all the different volumes and port tuning.

Ive done it similar but made the bottom adjustable and made a bunch of ports mounted on the outside of one of the side.

I’ve never thought of such a thing. When faced with the possibility of designs and the work to create so many boxes I find my self frustrated. Can’t believe I did t think of this !! Brilliant!!!

"Slide the box up and down, just to play around" (boom boom)
Cant wait for the remix!

Decware has a similar designed box that's been used since the late 90's or early 2000's. The box plans are still available for cheap.

Ohh yes the good ole’ days! I remember doing this with a transmission style box for a pair of original solo baric 15”. For competition. Man the time you’ll spend for 1-2db! Lol

Brilliant stuff! This is how you get to the next level right here. Think outside "the box".

Sounds great! And I love the whole set up! Old school look is awesome!

This is sweet. I however would do a a big box and have some 2x4 cut to put in and reduce the volume of the box for testing purposes. Maybe use a hinged and gaskets front panel. You could also adjust the port length inside by adding or subtracting sheets of wood.

This is a great testing rig. It's definitely something worth trying with new subwoofer designs

Man i got to admit thats pretty slick looks like lots of fun to play with too bad the audio does it no justice definitely something that must be observed in person to hear and feel the resonance and spl.

That box design 😮 😍
Logo looks awesome 👌
Pulley system 🤔
Have you tried a single frequency?

That's a prefect teaching aid for how much the port and box size change the response.
The power input and output also, looks like heaps of fun 😊
