Probing to Open Blocked Tear Ducts

If the tear ducts are blocked, an ophthalmologist may probe them to try to open them up and allow tears to flow out normally. The tear ducts are dilated to widen them, then a thin probe is inserted into the tear duct and into the nose to open up the passageway.

It's pretty much painless if the operator doesn't shake his hands inside there. My operator was shaken asf. Be careful about that.
