this channel has now officially been revived.

I tried to exclude some of the really obvious stuff like rotating both ways if you're wondering why something wasn't included.

Use the tips, strategies and techniques in this video to get better at tetris. If you're still looking for more videos about getting good at tetris, check out my channel where I talk about a variety of topics such as t spins, beginner tips, dt cannons and more.

This is definitely way too advanced for me. I can't bother focusing on the next pieces when I can't even decide good spots to place my pieces. XD

You should make a video about some basic patterns and where to put the blocks to get them to line up properly. Most people can't even do that. I think that's where the trouble is.

It's like trying to explain chess to someone by telling them to focus 2 steps ahead. If they don't have a basic understanding of the game or a strategy, it isn't going to amount to anything.

"Try to use all 5 previews, or 6 if you're playing Tetris 99"

Here's an actually useful guide I can give, simple yet fundamental:
1. "Build flat" - building a flat surface allows versatility.
2. "Hold the t-piece" - the t-piece creates an imbalance in your structure. You will notice your structure will start having spikes instead of a flat surface once you place a t-piece. *Note: placing another t-piece will fix the imbalance. Which is why holding a t-piece as long as possible until the next one comes lets you avoid building on an imbalance structure.
3. "Pairs" - instead of looking at each piece individually, look at how they pair with each other, and remember them as a piece, (especially the L/J- pieces paired with S/Z and O-pieces, ) *what this does is it helps you assess the preview quicker as you'll be seeing 2 or 3 pairs instead of seeing them 5 individually allowing you to "think faster" as this video perhaps suggest.

Side note: if you're interested in t-spin, there are two styles of it. The first one is the mechanical versions, basically you will be repeating the same pattern to make t-spins repeatedly(you dont even need to know fundamentals to perform these). *Note: these are not very useful outside of solo play and marathons but it can help you have a feel of how t-spins work, you can look it up in the web and try it. The second one and is actually the useful one for further improving as a tetris player, is the freestyle t-spin, where you adapt to any given structure to perform a t-spin, however this one requires a lot of grind, and a lengthy guide.

If you're interested in seeing it in action you can search in youtube : Amemiya tetris, Kazu tetris, Doremy tetris, Wumbo tetris,

This is probably a good list, but it's not for beginners, it's really for intermediate players I'd say. Beginners like me need tips on how to think with piece placements. Though utilizing the queue in the peripheral is a handy tip which I'll keep in mind, and playing slow until I learn
