In a statement, Governor RN Ravi had earlier said that Tamizhagam is more appropriate than Tamil Nadu as the name of the state. He had also claimed that the state was facing regressive politics for the past 50 years. This has created a huge uproar in the state. In the latest developments, BJP state president K Annamalai slammed DMK and said, "DMK has long been trying to bury their secessionist past, their ideological parent party wanting a separate Dravida Nadu, later a Separate Tamil Nadu." I am for Thamizhagam தமிழகம். These Dravidian Politicians and Thamizhagam State's various letter head parties' leaders have secessionist idea. The recent announcement by Dravidian Model Government to introduce Makkal ID (parallel to Aadhaar Card) for the state is a clear indication for secessionist agenda. I stand with Annamalai.

All states in india are like countries . But they come under a banner that is india . According to me tamilnadu is a proper name and dont need any changing

THAMIZHAGAM is the apt name .
In 70s and 80s we always used thamizhagam while mentioning the name of the state especially when we talk in tamil.
These DMK people neither have attachment to the language nor to the land and don’t have proper knowledge about both.
So we can’t expect any intellectual discussion or thinking from their side.
As a Tamilian I support THAMIZHAGAM .
