JWST Discovers Water Vapor in a Disk with Giant Planets

Water is essential for life as we know it, but how do planets get their water? How do they become habitable for living beings? In this video, we explore the latest discovery of water vapor in the inner region of a disk of gas and dust around a young star called PDS 70, which hosts at least two giant planets. We also learn how this finding offers evidence of a mechanism to supply water to potentially habitable planets already during their formation, in addition to later impacts of water-bearing asteroids. Finally, we discuss the implications of this discovery for our understanding of planet formation and the origin of life, and how it was made possible by using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and its MIRI instrument.

This is absolutely Beautiful. And the fact that your bodies are made of that star stuff that allows you to be curious about the Universe and to build those wonderful telescopes and other technologies that enable us to learn about how the Universe makes Life in a Body possible is beyond amazing. Thank you sincerely. Sharing this.

This is such a FANTASTIC and AMAZING news! It’s like watching our own Earth comes to life. All we need is tons and tons of buttery popcorn as we watch its evolution day after day till couple million years.👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

Water is necessary for “life as we know it”. If we know all that is.

Oh look, the JWST found water in space . . . like most of the asteroids and moons of the outer solar system. It's not alive, it's just wet.

Water-matter was present when the gaseous state we occupy now was born. It all comes from frozen water-matter from the previous epoch of our universe. I thought I mentioned this on several occasions. If your going to have a TOE it better include everything. EMFS theory. Peace ✌️ from Canada, eh

It's coming just working out the kinks in my head, the math is already up there and so is the theory. Can any of you do this? Let's see 👀.

Some how it flying like air than find a place than it turns planet by the the final code is ice water looks like to me what side is the start intresting thing is it create the system including human's like us do you think what this creation is a capacity of the universe how do you think or can we imagine the full creation or full image well how ever the this creation is give us a something to imagine actually so many things we can think big bang thetheory and nature tree as a exsample how it product fruits kind of intresting story hide inside can find one day

Water is H2O, so where does oxygen come from?
