Harry Browne never lived under negative real rates, let alone zero or negative interest rates.
Holding long-term bonds at 1% yield is how you need a govt bailout. Cash with inflation of 8% is crazy.
He would not have the 25-25-25-25 portfolio today. He would have gold, stocks and some cash.

Ref 1:08:23 - Well, this is where Warren Buffett's way of investing comes in ... he shared this himself that he constantly reads and reads *EVERYTHING* about the companies he invests in or is interested in. He said that he spends most hours of his work days reading. This is certainly one way to gain and possess insights [of a company] that most others don't have, and know the true value of the company irrespective of the publicly traded share prices.
