I would recommend that anyone serious about woodworking, even as a hobby, spend the money to upgrade to a good sander (I use a 3M xtract) and quality sandpaper. Having less vibration and faster, more even material removal is well worth the cost.

I was laughing out loud throughout this video. First at your awesome t-shirt (btw where did you get it I have to get one) and then at the “we’ve run out of toilet paper” clip. Hilarious! Great video as always. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

I liked the video, although I have to admit that I am a tool junkie, so it's really hard for me to take your advice. I have Milwaukee 12 & 18v, Bosch 12 & 18v, DeWalt 20V, Matabao HBT 18v, Ridgid 18v, Ryobi 18V, even some Hart 18v I got dirt cheep on a Walmart clearance sale. And those are just the power hand tools. I live in Central Texas about half way between San Antonio & Austin, and I have to go to both cities quite often. So, when I go to either city I stop by HD and Lowe's and look at the clearance items. Plus I have a Direct Tools outlet near by that I go to when they have the 50% off sales. Almost all these were purchased as a starter kits that I got the whole kit for less then I would have paid for the batteries alone, much less with a charger. My opinion is this way when I see a deal on a tool that is best in class, I can get it without having to worry if it's the 1 or 2 brands I have batteries for.

Thanks for another Saturday Breakfast video, I pretty much agree with your list and recommendation to get corded routers, I do prefer cordless sanders and have been using them for years, this may be a Ford/Chevy debate or something along that line. One thing I use are sawhorses for that equipment table, pretty easy to set up, flexible length, though it is limited on width, and they take up little storage space. Anyway, have a great rest of the weekend and thanks again.

Good mornin' FlynnDogg! I appreciate you posting a good start to the day!
These are all great suggestions. I 100% agree about a PC or good smart phone in the shop. Can't even say how many times I went back to see that certain video again or look up a technique. Now all we need is a printer that's sawdust proof 🤔
I'm thinking about mounting an old PC monitor in the shop to have a bigger view screen from my phone. You should do a project on how to dust proof a printer and monitor for shop use! Just a suggestion

Can't wait to see your new shop brother! Everyone smash the like button for FlynnDogg! It's free to do and you'll be 12% more sexy!

Excellent video that shows just how little it actually takes to get started.

I think I would have to add one suggestion - at least a 48” straight edge ruler or box level. You can get them very inexpensively at all the big box stores, out of different materials, and they have loads of uses. Depending upon your budget, you can buy even a 96” one. I find them very useful for loads of tasks, particularly breaking down sheet goods. I use the 96” box level to see where edges are out of line and you can use several techniques to get the two edges straight and parallel to each other.

One other “tool” that is critical to woodworking in an open mind, and awareness of the dangers of fast spinning sharp blades and bits. They don’t take any prisoners!
