I’ve been looking for a rotatable 4:3 monitor forever. Egret 2 was just too hard to find. So happy this exists. Thanks for the find!

I'm a purist, but I'm old, like when arcades first began old. This is exactly what I hoped to find so I can play classic arcade titles without straining my eyes. I built my own but the 19 inch monitor is just hard without glasses. Thank God for technology or my games would be lost eventually over my sight. I prefer to hit a high score as I pass one day in my 90s.

If you're planning to use this with a PC / Emulation, its awesome. You can change your PC display settings from portrait to landscape. But be warned you cannot rotate the image 90 deg on the monitor itself - there is no such option in the menu. So its a no-go with upscalers like the RetroTink or OSSC. Super disappointing - especailly for the price. Nonetheless the image looks great, albeit its stuck in the vertical orientation.

Snagged one of these as a perfect condition open box for $350usd. Incredible monitor.

Retro gaming was my first thought seeing this monitor. I have a Neo Geo AES and CD plus emulation setups, and would look amazing with arcade games.

Another reason it appeals is that I can't really fit a wide curved or 2 x monitors, but I can go up.

There is a Kogan unit that is nearly half the price and main difference is the stand so no issues going that one for me

Glad I found this video, picked up one of these for 150 euros on Marketplace and wasn't sure what to do with it 🤓

Speaking of monitors, I did the arcade 1up pinball 32" monitor mod this past week. Turned out great! I actually used a different LG monitor that is 2k 165htz. Thanks again!

This looks awesome. It won't fit in my existing cabinet, but I plan to make another and this is probably what I'll be using. Great find!

Awesome! Just bought one to put in my arcade cabinet. This is the dream.
Do you know if it powers on with the PC?

If my crt goes out and I can’t repair it I’ll get something like this. I miss the 4:3 days!

Great review! This is what I need to upgrade my arcade cabinet. Can you mount this to a wall or flat surface?

Hi mate awesome video, I've watched it like 10 times since you uploaded it just lusting over getting this for my cabinet. Finally after 2 years bought it yesterday. I'm using coinops and with my old monitor it's fine. But with this monitor it's super lagging/jolted image and constantly audio stuttering/repeating. I've tried changing thru all the resolutions on my pc settings and still persists, would you know how I could fix this issue so it will run properly like on my cheap 16:9?

Its pricey, but looks awesome for retro games. I will keep an eye out for an open box or sale on one

It's really nice, and looks good for productivity, but I've been too spoiled by CRT and OLED black levels and colours

Hey there, I got my LG DualUp recently and I was wondering are you presenting those old games via PC or actual retro consoles? I wanted to use this monitor on for my Gamecube and Dreamcast but out of the box it seems you can't rotate the display? How did you get those extra options like at 4:59 mark? I'd greatly appreciate the help!

How do you set it up for landscape with out a pc?

Wonder if you could do a build video. Showing this in a cabinet, especially how to get vertical games to auto run in vertical mode (obviously expecting to have to reorient the monitor physically. Just referring to the game itself).

That would be rad. Wondering if there is an option in coin ops or something.
