Former president Donald Trump said he had a 'good relationship' with Russian president Vladimir Putin on Friday ahead of his meeting with Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy, who stood alongside Trump, then intervened, saying, 'I hope we have more good relations with us,' gesturing between him and Trump

This is so painful to watch. Trump’s ultra basic language and self absorbed statements, Zelensky’s evident disillusion about this meeting but immense desperate bravery. The first has zero clue on what is going on, the other all too well.

Okay. To explain, Zelensky HAS to meet with BOTH candidates because he is the leader of Ukraine. Simple as that. Why can’t people understand something as simple as this? It’s called relations. The amount of control Zelensky is showing deserves applause. The hypocrisy of Trump, wanting Ukraine to just give over when he’s the one who cries like a brat whenever he loses.
