A ha Touchy!

A-ha is a Norwegian new wave and pop rock band formed in Oslo, Norway in 1982. Its members are Morten Harket (vocalist), Magne Furuholmen (keyboardist) and Påul Waaktaar (guitarist). The group achieved huge worldwide success in the 1980s, immediately becoming one of the most famous bands of that decade.

The group achieved great success with their debut album Hunting High and Low, released in 1985. The album peaked at number 1 in Norway (the band’s home country), the UK and 15 in the US (on the Billboard 200’s best-selling album list); it also yielded top hits: Take on Me, Hunting High and Low and The Sun Always Shines on T.V.. Because of the enormous success, the group received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Newcomer and also won 8 MTV awards during the 1986 VMA ceremony. In 1994, after the failed release of their fifth studio album Memorial Beach, the band went 4 years inactive, returning in 1998.

The trio is remembered today for having several hits worldwide: in addition to the aforementioned (Take on Me, Hunting High And Low and The Sun Always Shines on T.V.), also achieved huge success the songs Cry Wolf, I Stay Losing You Roads, On These’ve Touchy! , There’s Never a Forever Thing, Crying in the Rain, Early Morning, among others.
