Quite true. I competed in balance beam and did a bit of judging. Now I see the tiniest flaws in Olympic routines. I got very close to the actual Olympic judges' scores. For this reason, I had to stop watching gymnastics. I get cringy at all the deductions I see. I need help.

Just watch the Gymnastcs qualifiers and the announcer literally just said, "her pinky toe just toying with danger on that out of bounds line." I almost spit out my drink laughing! Had to come back here to commend you on your accuracy!!

What bothers me isn’t the commentators point out what gives deductions and what doesn’t, the judging is INCREDIBLY precise and I think it’s important to explain what the judges are looking for. And I think it’s good to highlight some of the things athletes might struggle with. The problem is when they make it into some big drama scandal thing.
