Hi everybody! and welcome back to Frank’s 3D Shop!

In this video, I do some needed maintenance on my Prusa MK3S, the top X-Axis smooth rod needs to be replaced, the bearings too since they are probably the cause for the grooves that are now appearing on them.

I show the way I do it, and a couple of tricks I have.

Let’s go see that!

Hi, I'm Frank my channel is all about 3D printing. I can't get enough of my 3D printer. I make everything and anything out of 3D filament (PLA, PETG and more). As I say a printer that is not printing is a missed opportunity.

I'll be doing electronics, mechanics, computer engineering, DIY, reviews and tutorials.

Very grateful you mentioned the leveling technique, I was hoping that works but I wasn't sure and I'm always anxious about not moving the lead screws equally

Good to see you back! I just started modding an old MPSM v2 so was just watching your videos on that!

Also have a MK3S+ and MMU2 upgrade to do on my Prusa so will be replacing bearings as well.

Have just greased my rails, but figure that a useless process in that the seals will just scrub the rail. I will soon be removing my bearings for a full regrease. Thanks for video.
