The last P-3 Orion takeoff and lowpass at Sola

June 4th at Sola, a historical moment. The last takeoff and lowpass of a P-3 Orion of 333 Squadron RNoAF. At the end of this month they are to be decommissioned. This is a living proof of the dedication and effort of the ground crew and air crew to keep these operational for over half a century. I wish them good luck on their final month on watch.

Et historisk øyeblikk i dag, 4. juni. Den siste avgangen og lowpass fra Sola med P-3 Orion. Takk for trofast innsats over alle disse årene og en stor takk til 333 sitt mannskap som viste at alder er ingen hindring. Dette er levende bevis på bakkepersonellets og flymannskapenes innsats over et halvt århundre for å holde disse operative. Lykke til med den siste måneden på vakt.

I spent several years growing up near a main USN base with P-3s during the 80s and early 90s and absolutely love those airplanes! The Orion whistle has always been comforting to me.
