Amazing. I'll definitely buy one when I have the money! The R version is REALLY tempting me...

I think I'm obsessed with this car

I think the tuning potential of these are huge. And everything is figured out. The 265hp is a blast in a 300lb car, but in an 1800 lb car? Awesome. I think red was a bad color for the street model since it doesn't highlight the lines but the blue track car is looking great. Should be easy to wrap that in flat black and put some blue wheels on it and call it mine.

Also have to keep in mind that the design was chosen so that the costs can be kept down. All the big manufacturers concepts look way better then the final production does.

great result dave! i for one think the styling is a success. sporty and well proportioned without looking "boy racer."

it's a pure sports car.

Very cool! That's good to know. I suppose with the H4- it probably would be pretty similar to the mk4. Thanks for the reply.

Ooo, that's a pretty sweet engine. I'm a fan.

Extra good to know since the Mk4 is my dream car- I'm planning on building one (with the help of my dad- as he's a bit more of an old gearhead than me) sometime after I finish college. Just the idea of building a beautiful performance car yourself is seriously awesome.

Hey, David. I really love the 818s that you has at Sema with the black soft top. Why did you guys decide to change the headlight orientation? This version looks a lot better. The other looks a bit feminine. Also, can someone who's 6'3" fit? Because even if I could afford a sports car I know I can't fit into them. That said, is it possible to extend the wheelbase to compensate?

This is fantastic. How much would it be to insure something like this?

Nice! That makes it even more unique- the fact that you were able to get the engine to work in there. American V6 engineering for the win.

Yeah, that is quite a bit of power and torque- and the weight savings of the V6 vs V8 is pretty sweet, too. How is the vibration level? What measures did you take to counteract the natural vibration of the V6 configuration?

Lots of weight for the F250, though. I've admittedly only driven a F250 once before- and it was from the early 80s.

U said it, they actually look better on the 818 than the Camry!!! FFR probably did this to reduce cost of parts for the kit seeing that Camry is everywhere. Are the rear tail lights from an existing car as well???

I think I like it but honestly would have to see it in person and see how it performs to give my final opinion

Hopefully they offer a soft top and roll up windows for options. I'd like something that could be used every day.

Looks like an RC car you'd buy at Radio Shack. It'd still be fun to build, own and drive though.

will the street version have a roof? :)

Why is there a windshield on the blue car? That makes it not street legal in my state. We can have no windshield, but if there is one we need wipers.
