Tallulah Willis reveals autism diagnosis

The daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis shared her recent diagnosis with autism on social media and fans are thanking her for her courage.

I don't "have Autism".

I am an Autistic person -- it is a core part of my identity. It is something I am, not something I have.

When I was born I was granted Canadian Citizenship (it is something I have, not something I am) -- that isn't part of my identity.

I support her. I wasn’t diagnosed until 35. But celebrities need to stop supporting the hate group Autism Speaks. All their money goes to neurotypicals trying to eliminate us and spreading stigma against us. The main barrier for autistic people is discrimination from neurotypicals and their refusal to give us accommodations in a neurotypical catered world.

It is also common for autistic girls to be anorexic. I think every person who had anorexia is autistic.

And it’s perception of us that is the problem. Neurotypicals need to do their part and work on their communication. Like say what you mean and mean what you say. Don’t apply meaning that is not there. Don’t bully us or gossip about us. It’s actually pretty easy if you try

so far the autistic people i come across with ate smart and at times i wish i'm autistic because of my ocd. i feel like if autistic people have ocd they can deal with it better than those who aren't autistic

I wonder if many of the issues they have have anything to do with the parents' use of drugs when they were young.

Autism that late in age? I guess everyone has it now that it's fashionable to say they have it esp celebrities. Didn't she have a drug problem? Could that possibly be the problem?
