DCP grocery haul + lunch idea | DCP 2019

After getting lots of questions about how eating and dining work on the Disney College Program, I thought I would make a video showing what I usual like to buy for groceries on the program, what I would take for lunch, and explain what feeding yourself on the program is like. Disney doesn't provide any food or dining for participants unless it's at the housing events (welcome party, graduation, etc). So you're on your own as far as cooking and packing lunch for work! There are a few grocery stores close to housing and a lot of people started doing grocery delivery services to Disney Housing (especially if you don't have a car). I liked doing Wal-Mart grocery pickup during my program, but the Wal-Mart that offers pick up was like a 25 min drive...but it was worth it to me. I hope someone finds this helpful and please feel free to ask me anything in the comments!

This was definitely helpful! I'm living at home right now, so I was actually interested to see stuff about grocery shopping on the DCP. It may sound boring, but all of these typical lifestyle things that many people don't share are great to see! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

You’re one of the only youtubers who actually makes REALLY USEFUL videos so thank you very much! I’m starting my program in October and these little things really scare me since it’s gonna be my first time living by myself (I also found your laundry video very helpful)😅 So sad you’re program has come to an end but I hope you really had a great time ✨

I've been thinking a lot about whether I'll use a water filter or buy cases of water bottles while I'm over there. I'm very picky when it comes to water and won't drink sink water. I buy my water in cases from Costco but I don't want to upset any roommates for my use of plastic. I always recycle though, but I'm wondering how do I recycle at the dorms? Are there recycling bins outside of the dorms? Where do you take your bottles to be recycled once you're done drinking them at home? Sorry for asking stupid questions, but I'm really concerned about this. :s

Thank you for doing this! I think you're the only DCP blogger who has made a video about grocery shopping on the DCP. You gave very good advice about snacks you can bring to the parks, what you can make for lunch (for me personally, I just alternate between ham + cheese and peanut butter + jelly sandwiches), what foods you can buy that saves you time (those sliced apples are GENIUS), and thanks for the warning about the water in Florida (I must prepare for that cause already my hair is a mess where I'm from lol). I'm just wondering if grocery shopping is harder if you don't have a car? Cause I won't have a car with me if I get in the program next Spring. Can't wait for your next video! Thanks Mary! :)
