Someone I know did the same thing as your friend in the 08 crash. Sold at near all time lows for fear of losing everything. Lost a lot of money, and went through a lot of regret. I’ve learned a lot from that person’s experience and use it as a reminder to stay calm in situations like this, even if things get much worse.

Actually... there is some certainty. It's certain that Trump and Musk will continue to act recklessly with the economy, foreign policy, democracy, Social Security. etc... So if you're retired and living on your investments - then it's dangerous to keep too much in equities until things settle down. If you're young, sure, wait it out

Stay the course. I'm more concerned with demand destruction than recession. Industrial and chemical already seeing it as China dumps on its local markets causing that neighborhood to dump on US. You see where this goes.
