He's a good all round player but has never been a natural finisher. The amount of sitters he's missed. The number of times he'd drive into the box (left of centre) and put it wide of the post. Not saying there's a ready made better player available and out there but if we want to eventually get to the very top level he won't be the one to get us there.

If you view Ollie as a forward, he's a good player, if you view him as a striker, then he's rubbish

He obviously needs to be in Villas team and he's effective but it makes you laugh? Villa have signed Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby and Youri Tielemans. Those are players that were wanted by the very very best teams in Europe at times and are potentially world class or not very far off that. So Villa should apply the same method for a striker because Ollie Watkins is nowhere near that level, he still lacks composure, a first touch and top level football brain... He is effective yes but Villa are aiming higher now, he should be back up for games when Villa are ahead to stretch teams simple as
