The fact that Addie says “I’m speaking to my sister” and Amelia answer “I’m not your sister” just like later Meredith tells that to Amelia is shocking

There are two things I absolutely LOVE about this scene:
1. Caterina's acting skills, holy shit it was amazing, you could hear her pain when she said "it was not your dad". It broke me
2. The parallels to grey's anatomy when amelia says "I am your sister" and meredith says "you're not my sister"

You can tell Amelia was really bad when she gave away a watch her dad literally died for.

I never watched Private Practice, but I just finished Season 17 of Grey's and oh my goodness... I knew Amelia had gone through a lot but watching this show made me realize I didn't even know the half of it. I feel so bad for her.

I found how they wrote Ryan during this scene and the scene in the hotel scene to be very realistic. He didnt antagonize the situation by anything outward but just by being there but also really appreciated how her friends rallied and some tried to include him in getting clean.

He was polite and then remarked how awesome they were later.

It would have been much easier and obvious to write him as defiant and rude and aggressive because audiences would understand that. Really remarkable and well done.

Amelia moving getting sober and eventually moving to Seattle was good for her because after the move to Seattle her character really just started improving and it’s one of the primary examples that I have of character development

Addison will always be Amelia’s true sister… she basically raised her. I wish Addison was still in Grey’s at least to be with Amelia. Meredith and Amelia will never have what Addison and Amelia had.
