Following their collision at the Austrian Grand Prix, McLaren and notably Andrea Stella unleashed furious attacks and a witchhunt on Max Verstappen, questioning his professionalism, Formula One car handling and racing skills. Could this accident cause a nasty fight throughout the second half of the season?

Your not changing Max. His father programmed him to not just win but to destroy the competition. No amount of penalizing is going to change anything because Max has priced in the penalties and concluded that he'll take the penalty AND the win. Its worth it thus he has depowered the council that makes the decisions. Its true that he is so far ahead in the points that there is no need for him to drive like that. If he had left enough room for Lando to drive around the outside imagine the race they both could have had to the finish.

The Fault should totally fall on the FIA They have Coddled Max and allowed him to go unpunished for his reckless behavior and now the chicken has come home to roost. They had ample opportunity to correct him in 2021 and 22 but he wasn’t checked so why would he stop Driving like His Name sake 😡 MADMAX

Max is pushing boundaries, and he may have received a penalty, but it was a non penalty penalty. I.E. It's not really a penalty if it has zero effect on the race. (He was given a 10 second, but was 15 seconds ahead of person behind him at that point).

As an experienced racing engineer and race car builder who has won 27 championships and 452 races, my analysis of this incident is the following: 1) 3 DRS zones on 1 circuit is unacceptable, especially on such a short circuit. The person behind you wins at least 3 x 0.3 seconds / lap, which is about 1 second per lap. 2) Norris had a higher speed due open DRS and therefore had to brake harder to stop. It is clear to me that he miscalculated at least 3 times in the braking zone, putting himself in trouble. 3) He should have made sure he could pass Verstappen on a straight using his DRS. He has been too impatient and impetuous, not cool-headed enough. 4) It is a common racing knowledge, that whoever is on the inside of the corner is the winner. 5) mistakes during Red Bull's pit stops, which caused Max to lose a lot of time.
And finally sending continuously falsely radio complains about the other driver, trying to get advantage with it, is not at a champion level. History has learned that such a driver never becomes a real champion.

Check the battles between Leclerc and Max 2022 same corner, Max went all the way on the curbs to avoid a collision.
Same with Sainz 2023 same corner, Max was pushed wide on the curbs in the breaking zone but crossed back and gained a position.
That is how you do it.

Max always gets away from murder by the fia. If anyone did that to lando, it would be more than a 10 sec penalty. Team are now catching up with max and he hate that he will not get competition from his crap teammate checko and right now it lando so max has to go back to racing dirty did the same to Lewis now it lando turn max is a good driving but only at front with a 30 second lead in a fight well the last race will show that.

Racing incident. If Lando knocked Max out of the race during one of those dive bombs, he would have been given the same 10 sec penalty. Lando and Stella would not be sulking like they are now. Same thing happened to Alonso when he rear ended Zhou. You can’t treat one driver different to the other. Stella needs to grow up.
