Mark and Hebrews both say Christ was enthroned after the Resurrection and before Pentecost.

42 Sainted Popes accepted and defended the Ecumenical Creed that did not include the Filioque. Only 8 of the Popes since the addition to the ecumenical creed have been canonized.

The Non-Calcedonians who were separated in 451 totally reject the Filioque on dogmatic grounds.

The Carolingians came to Constantinople and tried to force the Church there to recite the Creed without the Filioque. The Carolingians wanted a schism so they could declare their king as Emperor over Christianity. Pope Leo III said NO to the Carolingians on adding it, stating that he could not override the saints of the first ecumenical council.

The Orthodox Creed literally quotes Jesus.

Roman Catholics HAVE to go all in hard on this because losing the Filioque debate, either the soft or hard version TOTALLY delegitimizes the authority of the Pope forever.
