Everyone's different, but I think forgiveness is harder.
I have a sister who is very competitive with me, and is always doing things to me behind my back. Then why I try to talk to her about it, she denies everything and plays the victim. She is a greedy manipulative person, and very hard to get along with. I can, and have, prayed that God changes her heart and helps her be happier and improve her life, but is very hard to control an emotion. Actions are easy. I can control my actions... but when someone continually does things, and refuses to repent, it is hard to control how I feel inside. I can remind myself that God is working on her till the cows come home, but feelings are not something that can be controlled.
Another example is that I accidentally saw a video on FB yesterday of someone abusing a dog. The anger, and yes, hatred that welled up in me was undeniable. My first reaction was to pray that God strikes that person dead, but I know that is wrong. So I prayed that God helps that person, and any other person who is the same, get rid of the evil that has control over them, repent, and change their hearts. But I can't get that image of that poor dog out of my head, and the emotions that go with that. I just don't know how anyone can control an emotion.
