In June 2005 P4P star Kostya Tszyu made his 4th IBF Light Welterweight title defense against undefeated Ricky Hatton.
The fight took place at a very high pace and ended with an unexpected result. Today I propose to see my review of this fight.

Hatton won by clinching grabbing, head-butting and low blows. Every time there was a boxing exchange kostya looked superior.

Hatton threw one of the dirtiest and deliberate low blows in boxing history. And got away with it and got over the aging Kostya Tszyu . Tszyu was all class and never complained. Dave Parris lived up to his reputation as an incompetent and one eyed referee

Great dirty wrestling match. In boxing with an honest, competent ref Tszyu probably stops him like Floyd did. In terms of filthy fights it’s right up there with Benn/Mclellen

Hatton isn't a boxer, he should've been disqualified for the way he fights! I agree it was satisfying to see pacman lay him out!

I don't know who cheated more Ricky hatton or the referee. Bad call bad fight hatton should have been disqualified.

When Hatton wasn’t allowed to cheat he was easily knocked out. What a disgrace

It was a great night and capped a great period for Ricky and a few friends for a while and I had been following Ricky. Always remember the walk out that night with the small looking Russell Crowe at Kost’s side. We also went to Vegas with Ricky not long after…. Great times

Hatton fought a dirty fight. Lots of grabbing and holding but it worked for him.

Ricky was a dirty fighter (headbutts, elbows, low-blows, rabbit punches, headlocks) you name it, he used it!!!

Props to Hatton for using his youth and wearing down the great Tszyu. But props to Tszyu for being so fucken tough. Outgunned and his vaunted power couldn't get Hatton's respect but he really bit down and traded with Hatton. Went out like a legend.

Hatton’s style is annoying like Horn’s style of fighting.
Basically Horn did to Pac-Man what Hatton did to Tsyzu.
It really depends on the ref on the night wether they allow all the wrestling crap.
Both Horn and Hatton went on to do not much in their boxing careers after their big wins.
