Follow Enya:

Enya was born Eithne Ni Bhraonain in Donegal, Ireland. Enya studied classical music at college under private tuition. On leaving college she was asked by Producer Nicky Ryan to join her siblings in their family band. She did so for a short time, but found it too restrictive musically, and so in 1982 she joined Nicky Ryan and Roma Ryan in a creative and business partnership. Enya's first commission was to write a score for Sir David Puttnam for his film "The Frog Prince". Then, the triumvirate secured the soundtrack to the BBC documentary series 'The Celts'. Enya was then signed by Warner Music and all three by EMI Music Publishing. The first album of this contract was "Watermark" with the hit single "Orinoco Flow". This was followed by "Shepherd Moons", "The Memory of Trees", "Paint the Sky With Stars", "A Day Without Rain" which produced the single, "Only Time".

I really miss Enya releasing new music. She released albums twice in the 80's, thrice each in the 90's and 00's but only once in the 10's... Come back Enya...we miss you!

I have no idea if you will ever read this message, however I want to thank you for your music, this one in particular, because you have made many moments of my life unique. With your music I started practicing meditation and this was fundamental for me! Thank you with all my heart!

I been a school boy, I was afraid about future, and as young lonely gay which grow in extremely homophobic family, I found so much love in HER VOICE 🥰 That's really supporting me, and gave me power to survive. Now I'm 46, have love, a house with a garden, and living far from the country, which I grow at.. I still listen to Enya, but now I'm at peace and calm. Thanks to the women, who have been my inspiration all this year...

A true diamond that's absolutely ageless. I adore "Cursum Perficio", "Exile, " "Miss Clare Remembers" and "Orinoco Flow" especially.

It is the album that forever changed my view of what music could be. I discovered the cassette album in a bin. Took it home and sat on my bed completely in a trance. I had never heard anything so powerful and majestic in my life. I immediately began hunting her music down, but could only find her Celts album (as it had been the only album released at the time). Enya really inspired me to make my own music and has had a profound impact on my life in so many ways. I was fortunate enough to study for my Masters degree at University of Dublin, Trinity, and during my studies, went to Gweedore to visit the family pub. Enya's family (esp. her father, Leo) have always been so kind and welcoming when I've visisted through the years. Thank you Enya, Nicky and Roma for giving us such a beautiful gift.

I'm a Metalhead buut.... The first time I heard "Orinoco Flow" it blew my mind. It was like, "Oh my God, who is this?" It was difficult to find the album in my country at that time, after I managed to buy it, each song was a unique experience. Thank you so much for the life soundtrack, Enya! The world is better with you and your music!!

I was 19 when Watermark came out, and Orinoco Flow was an instant favorite. Was just listening to her music, and then the notification for this premiere came up. Who would have known-- 35 years have come full circle. Thank you for the wonderful music! ❤

Enya's music is transcendental. Her music speaks directly to the soul, timeless and separate from the superficial.

I enjoyed a vacation trip sometime ago to an Monterey Bay and this was the 1st time I heard her Angelic voice over the loud speaker pumping it out. I remember just feezing in my tracks and asking employee's who worked there "who is this playing"? I asked so many questions trying to find out who this artist was. They directed me to the gift shop and indicated maybe I would find the music there. To my JOY they had quite a few of her CD's and I was over joyed and the rest is history. I will always be thankful and in gratitude that Enya shares her voice, her vision and stories of love and peace. Thank you so much Enya! Many blessed accalaides to your successful 35th Anniversary! It has been an absolute PLEASURE and I hope you will continue for many years to come. All my LOVE! 💐🎉🥂🥳💗☯️🕯️🙏🏼☘️🥰

35 years… good grief. I remember hearing Orinoco Flow when I was leaving for school one morning. It was played on BBC breakfast TV. Watermark & Enya’s music became intertwined with my life, be that sad times or happier times.. She was always there, just a play button away.

Thanks to Enya, her music means so much to so many.. I hope she knows this 🙏🏽💙
