I believe the biggest insult this game has done is what they did to Garret's character. Garret was a likeable bastard is the previous games. He stole because he had to pay the rent and it was the only thing he knew how. He was NOT freaking batmam who steals because ''it's what i do.''

I feel like I would've accepted this game more if it wasn't under the Thief license, because it just doesn't feel like a thief game.

The levels are pathetically small compared to Thief II, hell, some levels are even smaller than the levels in Dishonoured. Speaking of Dishonoured, this game felt too much like Dishonoured, which it shouldn't have. Thief didn't need to be Dishonoured, it needed to be Thief, because we already have Dishonoured. The guards are also not only stupid, but exploitable. The guards in Thief 2 were a huge threat because the levels were large enough that each one would have them take long complex paths that could surprise you. In this game you just stick behind cover they never check, watch them for 5 seconds and you can get past them without a hitch as if we're playing that sneaking segment in Ocarina of Time.

The core stealth gameplay is there, but it's so bogged down, so horrifically simplified that it barely feels like a Thief game. The blink teleport type thing was also just a stupid addition that was unneeded.

Also Garret, holy shit what did they do to you!? He used to be a wisecracking smartass but in this game he's an angsty cunt. I am so tired of angsty cunts in video games, it seems like for every Bayonetta or Mondo Zappa we get we also get 50 characters that just can't have fun.

On its own merit the game is merely mediocre but as a Thief game it's just pure shit.

From what I've seen, if you're a fan of the Thief games and want to play the latest iteration of the series, go play the game that was actually made by the developers of the original Thief games... I think it's called *Dishonored.*

I gotta say, I was never a huge fan before the NormalBoots announcement but after you were added, I've been going back and watching a lot of your previous content. You work hard and it shows. I see so much hate for this game on the internet, meanwhile I'm playing the game, and enjoying it quite a lot. I'd recommend this game to people who enjoy stealth based games. It's very enjoyable. But this is just my opinion, make your own, don't listen to what people on the internet have to say.

Was waiting for this, and I'd say "not too bad but don't get it right now" is a good conclusion.

Also there's something about the way you smile and sort of fidget around after the timer rings in all of these one minute reviews that I find endearing and hilarious.

this game shows how most of games are made last years, just hype people with brand and not focus on actually making a good game, mechanics which are popular on consoles, shallowness etc. mainstream media are really dumbed down...

One thing I could point out about human vision is that the peripherals are actually enhanced at night, meaning a smaller field of view during the night is completely backwards. I don't know if that makes a difference, since I haven't played it, so I'm not one to say for this game.
