The European colonialist had always tried to tell history that will suit their white superiority complex. Columbus was never the first man the discover the Americas rather he was the first sadist and colonialist to visit the Americas. His wicked actions in the Americas nearly decimated the indigenous populations. His aim and that of his sponsors was to to steal, kill and engage in slave trade.

I am Indigenous. It is odd how some people are determined to appropriate another's culture. It's okay to say you have Indigenous blood in you, but re-writing the history to suit a desire of belonging is not appropriate. You already belong just the way you are.
