Funny thing is, we learned in the epilogue chapters, igris didn’t start out like that… he opposed ashborn’s choice of successor.. that’s why he tried to kill him when they first met(he was just supposed to test him) and then it slowly turned into respect… he slowly grew to like jinwoo more than ashborn because jinwoo treated his shadows like friends

I love how the shadows have personality, it makes the interactions even more entertaining, and the shadows actually caring for jinwoo is cool (dude literally adopted them and gave them immortality as long as jinwoo is alive, who wouldn't be respectful to him?), i find my favourite one to be igris, he's respectfull, skilled, and he doesn't even dares to disobey jinwoo (well, not a single shadow dares to lmao), he's got an insane respect for jinwoo, and it makes me have respect for him too

Remember, the reason why this is probably true is because Beru is Jin Woo's first Commander. What I mean is, Beru amongst the shadows is Jin Woo's first Commander as his own. Bellion and Igris are Ashborn's soldiers, who was then passed on to Jin Woo. Beru on the other hand was a original soldier of his.

This is a neat detail because it means that Jin Woo's strongest soldier and Ashborn's strongest soldier have both dueled, and we all know how that went.

There’s a difference between respect and Simp…. Igris respects Jin woo & beru simps for him.. but really, in the light novel igris is the one shadow who respect him the most it’s based on the light novel

Beru is my fav character in the whole series how can he be written so well.

Thé way he smoked that Korean s class hunter was absolute devious work and his un yielding loyalty to sung just provides so much depth into his personality.

Especially when we fought against the monarchs omg shit was so fire

i just remember now, min byung-gu who was eaten by beru, (was it) love or like of
history? he did once told baekho before the raid happened that, he planned (i forgot this part so am not sure) to be a history teacher, before (or was it after) he got an offer from yoo jinho's father to be the guild leader.

so there might be two reason why beru is into k-dramas:
1. beru's endless respect to Jinwoo
2. min byung-gu's influence towards history might have triggered it. causing for beru's likes to k-drama's especially historical genres (of course, the part "king" also played for it, i think)
