Bad Wimpfen, Germany. Near Heilbronn, which is in turn near Stuttgart. This is an old "walled" city. The inner city has walls that at one time made it difficult for invaders. On the Neckar river, Bad Wimpfen was completely self-sufficient. Now it has picturesque shops and restaurants along with the tower and the church featured herein. The tower actually houses someone. I'm told that they only come down about every three months and that groceries are delivered by basket and pulley ... much like Rapunzel.
