Hi, tnx alot for your awesome video. I have a question. I HAVE WATCHED a VIDEO ABOUT collective nouns and the teacher gave the example that "the police fines a driver who exceed the speed limits. On the other hand, you mentined that "police is always plural noun".
So, I got a little bit confused. Could you please explain on it.
Thank you😊

Thieves was stealing TVs last night
A pack of wolves was hunting a dog

Both of these sentences are plural collective nouns but the action is one entity, so the auxiliary verb would be singular? I can't wrap my head around it, it feels against everything I've been taught haha!

Or are these rules only for present simple auxiliary verbs?
