HOW THE *bagpipes* DO I PRONOUNCE SHYLMAGOGHNAR?

Shylmagoghnar is a Dutch metal project founded by Nimblkorg and Skirge. The self-produced and distributed debut album "Emergence" was released in February 2014. The project originally started out as atmospheric progressive black metal, but over the years the sound took on a life of its own. Strong influences of melodic death metal can be heard. Doom metal, blackened death and thrash metal have also had some impact. No matter what you wish to call it, we hope you will get something out of our work!

Hey guys! Since a few of you have been wondering, I wanted to let you know that Shylma is still very much alive and kicking. I've been withdrawn from social media for a while now, but that's just because I tend to go into full recluse mode when working on new stuff. In other words, no news is usually good news.
As you probably know by now, we take our time with albums until we feel they are truly radiating the atmosphere we had in mind, so future instalments will be no different. With that said, I'm very eager to keep going with the project! Thank you all once again for making it worth our while.

As for our Bandcamp shop: I had to close down the physical side for the time being, due to local/international corona measures making shipping too uncertain (or in the case of some countries, impossible). I'm just a guy selling CDs and T-shirts from my home, so I don't really have the means to be able to ship guaranteed tracked packages for low prices like big companies do. Once this situation passes, I will be back at it again though!

second album have started! There's still lots to be done and no
estimations of when it will be finished, but we will give it our all!

Good news everyone! Shylmagoghnar's third album, CONVERGENCE, is planned to be released on the 10th of november this year, and we're kicking off the pre-orders today with a new music video (and more to follow during the lead-up to the release).
