I was wondering what is the proper French equivalent of what we call Flip-Flops in English?
I think for "La fermeture éclaire" the association is with the lightning during the storm (éclaire is the lightning, right?) - meaning that  you can close/open it very quickly, like a lightning (unlike buttons for instance), and also because it resembles zig-zag of a lightning, in a way :)

I think my teacher said éclair was an adjective... for the word light. So it would be a silk(or i guess light) scarf🤷‍♀️
