"Behold! The first song that was ever written for VEMØD back in the summer of 2021. The idea for “There is Nothing // All is Void” came as I watched a documentary about the potential of life on other planets and there was a line that said, ”We are essentially an island in the darkness”. That really woke something up in me, not just from a perspective of the universe but also of the self. Sometimes you can feel like an island in the darkness, that you’re all alone in your universe, and I really wanted to highlight that dualism in the lyrics.
