More than one billion children say they've experienced some form of violence. Despite the scale of the problem, there isn't enough evidence available from low and middle income countries. To address this, UNICEF Innocenti and the Campbell Collaboration have developed an evidence & gap map (EGM) to visualize what evidence exists, and where there are gaps on interventions to reduce violence against children in these countries.

This EGM is a digital database that maps 152 impact evaluations and systematic reviews. Each cell of the map is arranged into one of the seven INSPIRE strategies to end violence against children (WHO, 2016), as well as outcomes such as direct impacts on violence, health, and education.
