Energy Stores - GCSE Physics

Показать описание
This video introduces the topic of energy stores.
We know energy cannot be created or destroyed. Instead, energy is transferred from one store to another. The main stores are: Kinetic, Gravitational Potential, Elastic Potential, Chemical and Thermal.
An object that is accelerated gains energy in the kinetic store. An object that is raised above the ground gains energy in the gravitational potential store. An object that is compressed or stretched gains energy in the elastic potential store. An object that posses energy within the bonds of its molecules has energy in the chemical store. An object that is heated up gains energy in the thermal store.
Thanks for watching,
Lewis
