Thanks doctor for this information. Nobody here listened to me here and my son got sick again and taken to government hospital doctor and there they gave simple ors only one day he had and he recovered.
I found out the difference as I have the habit of tasting the medicine before giving. Also my CP child practitioner has put me in the habit of checking the medicine composition before getting one. This has helped me a lot as company may change.

I had this doubt earlier. Disclaimer in ORS L states "it is not ors and should not be used when suffering from diarrhea". I asked the medical shop person and he didn't know the answer. Thanks for the clear explanation

Doc actually the hard part is even doc r giving it in Mumbai it's sold in a clinic n when doc prescribe this ors nurses over there gives this orsl initially I didn't know so even i was giving that later when I came to know i started saying No n will buy from outside pharmacy n it would be great if u have add pic of what real ors is

J&J has recently launched ORS as per the WHO formula and is the correct osmolarity to use!

Those drink are also kidna expansive. I just buy the packet ors solutions they are cheap and good for rehydration.
