Corsair's iCue Link Fans are now even better

A while back I made a video on the iCue Link system from Corsair. With interlocking daisy chainable fans that made it easy to wire your case without all the cable mess of two cables per fan. It can really transform your case. But at that time iCue Link was expensive. It's now cheaper and also has been upgraded and improved with new features that make it even easier to use.

The system now includes new more affordable fans and an upgraded controller that allows upto 24 devices to be connected to it. That includes 12 devices per side, making it much easier to connect. You can mix and match fans, throw in extra upgrade devices (like a display) and more besides. It's pretty neat now.

I have this whole setup, but I’m having issue with Icue. So far, I find it best to just the fans without the ICUE and let the motherboard Fan AI do the work.

I'm interested in the Corsair LX fans. I know they're pricey but I think the combination of CFM and static pressure makes them perfect for a build where you want all the fans to be the same. Especially once they release reverse versing

I wish you'd shown what the connector looks like on the side of the fans. I've not seen these before and now I'm right curious.

The fewer the cables, the better.

I have 3 qx 120mm fans, a titan rx 360mm LCD AIO... 1 120mm rx fan, and then 2 140mm rx fans, that i added a week later, on the other side of the iCue-link hub. (The black square one.). 9 fans, 2 styles, and when i added the 140mm rx fans to other side of the icue-hub, the individual fan groups disappeared in the app... and now it just shows the icue-link hub... which means all the fans are the same color at the same time. Icue link has basically made my rgb crap. I like iCue Link... but I want individual control of my fan groups.

I saw a reddit thread with people complaining about those CUE cables shorting and burning.
"This is my fourth cable, and I used the stupid foil tag they wrap to pull it out. I should be working but instead I smelled smoke and noticed this connector was shorting out causing major problems with my computer. "

Only problem is. When you have more than 5 fans connected, you get a notification to say they are dimming the brightness due to too many fans

I love Corsair but can we pls get reverse blade fans already, I hate seeing the “ugly” side of the fans whenever I wanna have them as intake 😅

So glad I switched away from corsair. It's the worst software ever. Constantly breaking and annoying to use when it is actually working
