I agree with Rich, Jones had some great flashes of what he could be, just never materialized.
On a side note, Daniel Jones did do something very special...he was able to get a pretty good contract and some guaranteed coin, so he still has that going for himself.

I realize it's easy to say this after the fact, but I was never high on him. As a Giants fan, I rolled my eyes when they drafted him because I saw him in college (I watch more college football than pro) and I thought he was a decent-to-good college QB. That doesn't look good for the NFL. And then, like most teams, the Giants grossly overpaid him. Most QBs are ridiculously overpaid and aren't worth the money. Not making excuses for him, but too many teams overpay to hold on to a guy that they should cut loose.

It is never one person's fault. If the opponent scores, the DEF should get benched. If the OFF doesn't score, bench the QB. Kicker misses 1 of 49, boot him to the curb. Players Win, Coaches Lose
