2020 Weddings Behind the Scenes

I think it's safe to say that 2020 was *not* the year any of us expected.

It was really challenging, for a lot of us, in a lot of different ways. The wedding industry was affected extremely hard, and still hasn't fully recovered. I am so eternally grateful to all my clients for their loyalty and support this year.

It was so inspiring and heartwarming to see all the different ways couples reimagined their wedding days to make them safe yet memorable. 2020 was the year of elopements, backyard weddings, social distancing, Zoom weddings, air kisses & elbow bumps, hand sanitizer, and masked bridal parties.

This year has made me realize just how important & special human contact, hugs, gathering, love, joy, celebration, and togetherness is. They may not be essential or necessary to our survival; we can live without them. But they sure do make life feel worth living.

I am *so* excited and hopeful for all the potential that 2021 holds, and I can't *wait* to get back to photographing celebrations in full force.

Despite all the challenges that 2020 threw at us, love prevailed, and it always will.
