I'm a real sucker for a gadget and I just couldn't resist buying one of these to try out. I'm actually pretty impressed - it works!

There are a few issues with the firmware, but it's being actively developed. I just need to think of some fun projects to do with it...

Just a tip: Inkscape can easily trace bitmaps.

This is the best review of an AR device here. Short and informative, and that's even when half of the video is about hacking, Python and all that stuff. I mean, it's not what most of the people are interested in. Yet in less than 6 minutes I saw the device, some of it's close up shots, an explosion view of the thing and I know it's capabilities. It's like it was in my hands for a moment. Some of the popular youtubers do not give that information in 15+ minute videos.

looked at something like this years ago, it projected an image in to the eye that appeared as a large screen 6 feet away.
the idea was the receptionist could look up contacts without having to look away from the visitor. so reducing the need for two receptionist, one to keep an eye on reception and one to do the lookup.
glad to say it did not pass muster so we kept two smiling faces.

Put chat gpt on there so it provides you with contextual live information about what you hear around you, like identify music or if someone speaks a foreign language to live translate it
