I think about all the beautiful young women I’ve gotten the privilege of spending my 16th year of dance with, including my beautiful friend Carie, who’s actually been in my life for six years now, when I hear this song. I’m so thankful for them. I could see us being friends for life, honestly. One of the things I love about them is that we always talk a little bit before and after dance, and Carie and I always have daily chats on Facebook. I love all of their personalities!!!

This song was sung at my 1986 high school graduation by my classmate, Michelle Batchelor. It was the highlight of the outdoor event in the sweltering heat. She was amazing and her choking up several times during the performance stands out.

Makes me want to cry for all the endings in my life. My husband in 2011, dad in 2014, sister in law 2018, brother 2018, mom 2019. My son lives a long drive from home, I remember how I felt as he drove away and out of town. I knew our opportunities for being together would be severely limited. It’s true. He’s been thru 2 marriages since he left, almost ten years ago. I miss my family so much, especially since this crazy virus hit. My heart is breaking.

He tragically committed suicide in October 2017 and every time I hear this I'm reminded of our good times. 🙏❤✝️

I've had a chance to work with some seniors at the school where I work. I am going to miss them after they graduate in two weeks. This song came to my mind today as I think about them.
