Who cut this?? Didn’t even show the right angle

Catch or no catch the receiver was clearly in contact with a teammate who was out of bounds. Ultimately the correct call was made.

Theres no way there was enough evidence to overturn that

The VT Player landed on their own Man. So the ball is still in play. Good call.

Incomplete pass because the Miami DB was out of bounds!

I was pulling for VT but after that review no one in my opinion had possession. How that official made that call was anyone's guess. Some plays cannot be determined without instant replay. Great game regardless VT.

How can anyone call this a catch? Receiver never has possession or control of the ball, multiple players with hands on it, one defender is out of bounds with his hands on it and the ball is moving around the whole time. You see way clearer catches called incomplete every week. If you're really being fair that is not a catch.

This what college football is all about

There’s a better video in slo mo that shows it incomplete IMO. Canes fan but I wouldn’t be mad if it went the other way. Sloppy lucky win by the Canes.

Once the VT player had the ball with his butt in the ground, it was a TD. The touching happened AFTER that. Plus, the Miami player touching the ball is irrelevant anyway, because the VT player didn’t regain possession after he touched it.

Total BS reasoning on a 4 plus minute review, so the evidence couldn’t possibly have been clear and convincing. Total rob job.

All you had to do is watch the reaction of the player who acted like he caught the ball. When the ruling was made. He dropped his head because he knew he didn't catch the ball. Also at the end of the play in the end zone he never showed he caught it. Only when the referee called it a touchdown did he start to celebrate. What this referee did is the reason I'm glad of the review of plays. There were a couple calls in this that were overturned by a review

both players are out of bounds in college football if one player is laying on top of another player who is out of bounds: this is the rule

When 9 catches the ball he's laying on top of 83 who is out of bounds. That makes 9 also out of bounds

I don't see how it was ever seen as a touchdown by the officials. I don't see how it was seen as an incomplete pass after the call. I guess they have better equipment than my cheap cricket phone with my fast data gone. Very hard for me to see anything clear. I guess the so called pros have better equipment. Should have never been called a TD per what I could see.

Not really a controversial ending, the refs made a controversial. Look it was a great game. But it’s clear the receiver was not only not in possession, but the ball was touched by a player from the Miami side that was out of bounce. The rulebook is very clear on both points. Incomplete pass. I know you are a fan and know you’re passionate ; but objectively speaking. It’s not a complete pass. I’m not in Miami fan.

What I don't understand is that the refs can make a call (catch or no catch) looking at it live just one time with no slow-mo (before reviewing it) and yet everyone can watch 5 or 6 different angles multiple times in slow-mo and say there is not enough evidence to overturn the call?! If you couldn't determine the call from all those angles over and over again in reg and slow-mo shouldn't the call only be made after the review? I've always been a big believer in making a call you couldn't see only after the review so there is only one call. I mentioned this many times over the years to football fans and no one agrees with me ever and I have always been surprised by that. Do you know what I mean? I hope I worded this right lol? As for the call I thought there was plenty of evidence to overturn the call as it appears the ball is moving and he landed on a player out of bounds, it can be seen in more than one angle. Incomplete pass easily in my books!

Yeah it was definitely a catch, but the ACC needs someone in the playoffs so they take care of their baby team.

The rules for receivers to make a catch in the end zone are ridiculous, when you compare the rules for a running back or anybody else who crosses the plane with the football and then immediately loses it, it’s considered a touchdown. Yet the receiver has to hang onto the ball and come down far in the end zone and then fend off someone taking out of his arms on the ground. 😂 A runner should be held to the same standard of maintaining possession before, during and after crossing the goal line. That’s exactly the way it used to be and then the rule was changed maybe 20 years ago I guess. Can’t remember, but it’s dumb

Terrible call on a ref to rule a touchdown with no clear view of possession. Now this win is stained with corruption.

How is it incomplete if the ball never hit the ground or went out of bounds
