McCarthy didn’t attack an army officer at the ‘no decency’ comment, the whole thing was about Fred Fisher the kid who joined the national lawyer’s guild which was considered a communist front, do your homework before you try to “sound smart”

I'm not a McCarthy fan but don't understand why he didn't press the Hoover letter more. If Hoover claimed it was a fabricated letter should it still be regarded as top secret? I would have read it anyways.

The Venona transcripts proved that McCarthy’s "fears" were legitimate.

Historical Fact: *it was very interesting to find out that House of Representatives, Democratic Representative Samuel Dickstein of New York and the politician who founded the House UnAmerican Activities Committee in the first place, was being paid by the NKVD (WW2 Soviet predecessor of the infamous KGB) for classified information. Ironically, the founder of the very committee wrongly associated with McCarthy was a Soviet agent. Instead, McCarthy was a Senator and Tail Gunner (McCarthy's nickname) was the chairman of the Government Operations Committee and its Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations of the United States Senate*

He didn't die; he & everyone in his team were persecuted, suicided, & died mysteriously early within 8 yrs of his first speech, the Communists Party was founded in NYC, in 1842. They aren't just an ideology; they are an active organization that has grown 30% in every state, except ND.
